"BEAUTIFUL ARMS SHOWING FROM YOUR SUMMER DRESS IS NOT A DREAM."

Who needs old timers like Jane Fonda or Cher when you can have a troupe of exercising poodles show you how to increase upper arm strength? Now, that's the kind of workout a dog lover like me can get onboard with.

The late, great Nagi Noda is a genius. Not only for her incredible video installations and photography, but also her hair pieces. No wonder the cultural magpie that is Lady GaGa is a fan...

INTRODUCING ELLA CHI...

In mid December I will be directing the video for Ella Chi's second single, "Cause You Needed Me". Ella is such a sweet and talented young singer and performer - I can't wait to unleash the glitter...

The poor girl won't know what hit her!

The video shoot will be in combination with a series of promo images of Ella I'll be shooting with the lovely Simon Allen. I'll also be collaborating with the fantabulous Wendy Olvers on Ella's styling and costume designs...Quite an exciting prospect all round!

And all before Christmas. Well, tis the season to be busy!

Above and below are some shots from a series of promo images of Ella that I styled and shot with Simon Allen a few months ago. The loose theme was Rock Circus, and Ella was quite partial to a power pose!

CREATURE FROM THE GLITTER LAGOON...

This month is rapidly becoming a bit of a productive one for me. Who'd have thunk it?!

So many photoshoots of mine have laid lonely and unfinished on my trusty little hard drive...But no more.

My incredibly square-jawed and talented friend Lee Roberts has begun working his retouching magic on my shoots, and there is sincerely no greater joy than something that began as a silly little idea in your head become first a photoshoot and then a fully finessed 'n' fabulous completed image.

Below is the first two images in a series called "Aquatic Princess", and starring my favourite model and eternal muse Sophie Oakley.

Now that's what I call a hypnotic stare...

RUN BABY RUN...

By no means a new fashion film - but certainly one of the most memorable.

Alex Turvey is a fabulously talented young film-maker and illustrator, and this is a fashion film commissioned by Dazed & Confused and shown as part of onedotzero and Dazed's Fashion in Film program at the BFI. An eye-poppin' visual feast, it reminds me of Nirvana's Heart Shaped Box video...Now that's a refreshing blast from the past!

And eagle-eyed blog viewers will have spotted Charlie Le Mindu's hair lips dyed blonde and worn backwards in Lady GaGa's Bad Romance video.

Altogether now! "Walk, walk fashion baby, move it work that bitch k-razee..."

UMM, IS THIS THING ON..?

My inaugural post - from hereonin please enjoy the rambling musings of an introspective ditz and easily distracted perfectionist lost in London…

Welcome.
