Et voila!
Below is my brand new showreel for 2011, encompassing my promo work in TV and music videos, along with my fashion film and video installation work...
On the eve of m'birthday month, it's great to step back, telescope time and condense my best bits from the last few years into a bite-sized media montage that's a perfectly packaged demonstration of my style, vibe and passions as a director.
Bloody hard work doing so in under two minutes though. So many things didn't make the (frenetic) cut..!

RIMMEL LONDON / E4
In August 2011 I conceived and directed four promo advertorials for Rimmel London and E4, that feature fabulous make-up themes inspired by the fashion photography show Rimmel sponsors called 'Dirty Sexy Things'. Produced by The Outfit, they marked my first foray into the commercial world, and a super glam twist on standard 'how-to' make-up guides with girls next door.
And there's now little I don't know about make-up!
The official Rimmel London blurb below :
" Rimmel London, sponsors of Dirty Sexy Things, know a thing or two about make-up, and so does their top make-up artist Kirstin Piggott. Watch our collection of videos below to find out how Kirstin creates a hot new look inspired by the show.
Each of the looks will be absolutely bang on trend for this season and, even better, Kirstin's guides are step-by-step; from choosing the right foundation to creating the perfect lips and eyes.
So watch as Rimmel London helps you recreate a look from the show without jumping through paint. Or wearing a snake. Or dressing as a mermaid.
You get the idea. "

BLAST FROM MY B MOVIE PAST . . .
Whilst the glitter settles on my latest work for Rimmel London, here's a blast form my music video past . . .
This is my 2011 Director's Cut of my very first commercial music video. It's a radical re-edit of my 2009 promo that finally brings it in line with how I originally wanted it - with a new structure, new grade, new shots and new sound effects.
Commissioned by Universal Records, "Another Dimension" (Timmy Vegas feat. Bad LayDee) was my first commercial music video for the production company DaveyInc. It was completed when I worked under the alias of FauxTales.
From the outset my idea was to capitalise on the track's sample of "Intergalactic", and create a girl power riposte to the original Beastie Boys video . . .
It involved me building from scratch a female-dominated fantasy world - but on a shoestring budget! It's now the video I always intended it to be: a frenetic mash-up of two staples of the B Movie genre - sci-fi robots and giant women - but with a tongue in cheek twist. And all the while looking like a late night cable movie unearthed on a well-worn VHS tape . . !
