Well, we built it and they came!
My East London rooftop became New York for a night as it was transformed into a divinely decadent "Hellraiser" playground a couple of weeks ago. And all for my long-planned fashion film collaboration with my gorgeous stylist
Helen McGuckin, entitled "Prelude to a Nightmare"...
Comprising a stark studio shoot and a grittier rooftop one, it was quite an eventful day. To say the least!
Thankfully, the clouds just
looked threatening and my team managed to cram a wealth of fabulous set-ups in, and showcase the work of cool new designers such as
Marko Mitanovski,
Shao Yen Chen and
Ioannis Dimtrousis, along with several cameos from the fabulous patrons of
Steve Strange's fantastic London club night, "The Face" . . .
Quite a shoot and quite a lot planned for it!
Alongside the fashion film, we also documented the story of the film in an editorial spread shot by the fashion photographer
Patrick Schuttler. Both the film and editorial spread will debut in the New Year in a video/photography installation...So watch this space!
